How Strut works
Six steps from signup to your first verified visit — most solo walkers are live the same day. Questions answered below.
0% commission
Flat monthly software fee. Never a cut of a visit, tip, or fee.
Your clients stay yours
We never market to them, rank you, or resell your book.
Your Stripe, your bank
Money moves from your client to you — we're not in the middle.
Keep your stack
Two-way Acuity and Google Calendar sync, plus an open API.
From signup to first visit
The whole flow, in six steps.
- 1
Set up your business
Add your services, durations, rates, and cancellation policy. Solo walkers finish in minutes; teams add walker seats and coverage rules.
- 2
Import clients and pets
Bring over your existing client list by CSV or from Acuity. Care profiles capture temperament, meds, vet info, and emergency contacts.
- 3
Connect your tools
Two-way sync with Acuity Scheduling and Google Calendar, Stripe for payments and payouts, QuickBooks for the books. Or build your own on the REST API.
- 4
Publish availability
Each walker sets the windows they can genuinely cover. Strut enforces lead times, meet-and-greet gates, and double-booking protection.
- 5
Run verified visits
Walkers check in from the mobile app with a photo, GPS streams live to the client, and potty, meds, and behavior logs build the check-out report.
- 6
Get paid automatically
Completed visits bill the card on file, late cancellations apply your fee, tips route to the walker, and everything lands in QuickBooks.
